This notice explains how Hyperlink Dynamics LLC (“we”, “us”) handles information on hyperlinkdynamics.com, including our interactive browser demo. We're a pre-launch company, so this notice covers the website and the demo. When we launch our product for children, we'll publish a full privacy policy for it first.
The short version
- This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, ads, or tracking tools.
- The demo runs in your browser. It doesn't send your recordings to our servers, and we don't store them.
- If your browser's built-in speech recognition is used, your browser's maker may process the audio under its own terms.
- We only receive what you choose to email us.
- We don't sell personal information.
Who we are
We're an early-stage company in the United States building an AI 1-on-1 English speaking tutor for children. You can reach us any time at tony.xu@hyperlinkdynamics.com.
This website
- No cookies. This site doesn't set cookies.
- No analytics or tracking. We don't use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and we don't embed social media widgets.
- Fonts. Our pages load the Inter and Fredoka fonts from Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and standard request details, as with any web request. Google describes how it handles this in its own privacy policy.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our web server may record standard technical details about requests, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. We use these only to run and secure the site, not to profile visitors, and we don't keep them longer than we need to.
The interactive demo
- It runs in your browser. The demo doesn't require an account. It doesn't send your voice recordings or answers to our servers, and we don't store them.
- Microphone. Your browser asks your permission before the demo can use your microphone. You can say no and tap or type your answers instead, and you can turn microphone access off at any time in your browser's settings.
- Speech recognition. To turn speech into text, the demo may use your browser's built-in speech recognition (for example, the Web Speech API in Google Chrome). In some browsers, including Chrome, this works by sending your audio to the browser maker's speech service. That processing is done by the browser maker under its own terms and privacy policy, not by us, and we don't receive that audio. If you'd rather avoid it, tap or type instead of speaking.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to follow up on your request, and we won't add you to a mailing list unless you ask. You can ask us to delete our correspondence with you at any time.
Sharing
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers. We share information only with service providers that help us run this website and our email, or when the law requires it.
Children's privacy
This website and demo are meant for parents, teachers, and other adults exploring what we're building; children should try the demo with an adult. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example, by email), contact us and we'll delete it.
When we launch our tutor for children, we'll obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal information from a child, as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and parents will be able to review and delete their child's information.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we'll update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top.
